  • The UIA Architecture & Children Golden Cubes Awards
    a new triennial international awards programme to honour people and organizations, many of them with little support or recognition, to help children & young people understand architecture and the processes by which our environment is formed.

Ewa Struzynska - France


Ewa Struzynska is an architect and a painter. She has a private practice in Paris since 1981. She graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She constructed several industrial and public buildings in and around Paris.

 

For more than 20 years now, she works on the issue of Build Environment Education (BEE) for children and young people by participating in seminars and meetings with architects and government representatives in France. She organizes and participates in workshops, conferences, and international events on education and the built environment. She has written articles and works with primary and high school age children on annual BEE programmes.

 

Former director of the Commission for Educational and Cultural Initiatives of the Union des syndicats d’architectes français (UNSFA), today she is involved in the International Council of French Architects (CIAF), the French Member Section of the UIA. She has long been a member of the Commission of the Arts of the prestigious Ecole Alsacienne in Paris.

 

In addition to her work as an architect and teacher, she studied for over nine years at the Paris Fine Arts School and presently works in a studio “La Fabrique” in Ivry-sur-Seine, among 70 other artists. She has shown her artistic work in France and abroad.
