an artificial terrain, operative platforms, glowing strata, a sculpture on display…the proposed structure has no specific architectural function.
It is rather made up of transparent platforms, 20-centimetres thick, that can be layered and multiplied to create steps, seating, tables, or dividing walls ; but without creating any real boundary between one element and the next, or any distinctive architectural components such as a floor or ceiling.
Lights and video equipment encrusted in the platforms provide results and information on the Olympic Games.
In short, the project is a contemporary interpretation of the Agora.
