PRESS RELEASE

Paris, 3 May 2007

The UIA teams up with Batimat
in Paris - 5 through 10 November 2007

Regularly visited by over 30 000 architects from every continent, the BATIMAT trade show is the biggest event for exchanges with the construction industry.

To reinforce these exchanges the
UIA (the International Union of Architects) and BATIMAT have decided to jointly organize a conference dedicated to architects during the next BATIMAT to be held from 5 through 10 November 2007.

How will tomorrow be built? What changes are anticipated, given the emergence of new technical solutions as well as new demands in terms of sustainable development, energy saving, environmental protection and safety? How will construction of new buildings and renovation of existing properties change in the residential and service sectors? These are questions which this conference will attempt to answer.

Highly
international, the conference will be organized in the form of meetings between architects and manufacturers, relating technical innovations to architectural innovations.

This conference will consist of seven half-day modules, from the morning of 6 November, until noon Friday 9 November. The program will be available in a few weeks.
