     From 29 June until 3 July 2008, the architects of the world will meet in Turin, Italy, for the 23rd World Congress of the International Union of Architects.
This global-scale event will focus on Transmitting Architecture, its participants will discuss architecture as a channel of communcation and the communication of architecture itself, in all forms and all places. The congress will study all the various aspects of a profession that is concerned with the quality of life, landscapes, and the environment on a daily basis.

Three days of working sessions will be devoted to specific interpretations of the three aspects of the concept of Transmitting Architecture:
30th June: the past, culture
Architectural culture, talent, history, heritage, education
1st July: the present, democracy
Urban democracy, participation, mediation, decision
2nd July: the future, hope
Sustainable development, environmental protection
The programme offers a full spectrum of conferences within this framework. They will be conducted by architects and international experts in a variety of fields that will launch a multidisciplinary debate. Awide selection of contributions from around the world will complement and illustrate these interventions.
