International Competition - Results
Totem - International competition for students in architecture

This single stage ideas competiton was organised in the framework of the UIA Congress, Turin 2008. Based on the Congress theme, Transmitting architecture, competitors were invited to design a totem, an architectural object for communication, information and exchange to be located in one of three types of environment: a social context: poverty; a natural context: sustainability; an urban context: metropoplis. The procedure was run entirely on internet.

Jury
The jury met on 11 and 12 April 2008 in Turin. Charired by Magda Hosam Eldin, architect, Egypt, it was made up of Wolf Tochtermann, architect, Germany, José Luis Cortes Delgado, architect, Mexico and Yan Yi, winner of the 2005 UNESCO Prize. The jury examined 435 projects from students in 34 countries.
