| The UIA Work Programme, Architecture and Children, launched an international award UIA Architecture and Children Golden Cubes to honour people and/or organisations that help children and young people understand architecture. It honours an activity or events, completed or running in the period from 1st January 2007 to 15 March 2011. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: schools (directors, teachers, pupils), institutions (associations, foundations, museums), media (written, audiovisual). The deadline for submission is 15 March 2011. The next meeting of the UIA Work Programme Architecture & Children will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 9 to 11 September 2010. Participants will be able to participate in the 2010 German campaign that ends on September 12, “bauTraum” (Building dreams) presenting numerous architectural education projects for children in schools, kindergarten.The Award will be the main subject on the agenda together with the Programme’s contribution to the UIA 2011 Congress in Tokyo.
