European real estate investment prize.

“Union Investment Real Estate AG”, one of Europ’s major real estate investment management companies, annonces the second edition of the Prime Property Award. Organised for the first time in 2008, this prize aims to encourage widespread sustainable development by recognising real estate projects showing outstanding performance with regard to, commercial, socio-cultural and ecological sustainability. The 2010 prize seeks to contribute to increasing the awareness of the key players in all areas of the property market, particularly investors, of the opportunities and needs associated with the global change represented by sustainability. UIA supports this initiative.

Participation
The prize is open to architects and town planners together with investors and promoters who are invited to submit projects completed between 2004 and 2009. Completed works of a minimal surface of 5000 m2 can be new constructions, refurbishments or redevelopment of existing commercial or housing constructions located in Europe.

The selection is made in two stages. From the submision of stage 1 of the competition jury will select thirty projects for the second stage. From these projects the winners will be determined during the third jury meeting. The deadline for presenting proposals is 15 December 2009

Prizes
The total prize fund is 30000 euros: 1st prize: 15000 euros; 2nd prize: 10000 euros; 3rd prize: 5000 euros.
