 The Architectural Society of China (ASC) together with the International Union of Architects (UIA) and its work Programme on architecture and renewable energy sources (ARES) announce that China will host an international conference on renewable energy sources in urban areas. The conference will take place in Shenzhen on 15 and 16 May 2008 on the theme: Chinese and international approaches to using renewable energies in urban architecture. It is organized in collaboration with the Shenzhen Institute of Building Research.UIA and ASC officers, mayors of municipal governments, internationally renowned experts and scholars, Chinese and foreign architects, planners, designers, equipment manufactures, suppliers, representatives from scientific research institutions and well-known local and international companies in the domain of renewable energies will participate in the conference. Paper submission deadline : 10 April 2008.
