The objective of this consultation is to spotlight the architectural design talent of high school students who hope to become architects and to provide young students and the general public an opportunity to better understand the possibilities of urban environment, architecture, and environmental resources. The Olympiad hopes to celebrate the creativity, the dreams and aspirations of high school students who want to develop a new society through architecture. This initiative is supported by the International Union of Architects. Students are invited to participate in a four-hour competition session, at either of the two universities, on 10 May 2008, during which they will design an architectural project based on the theme proposed at the beginning of the session. The projects will be submitted to a first round of national judging (one round in Korea and the other in Singapore) and then to an international jury that will select the winning projects from among those chosen by the national juries. The registration fee is 10 US $. Students must register to participate before 2 May 2008.
