Eighteen countries join UIA in Turin |
The UIA General Assembly meet in Turin (3-6 July 2008) and ratified the admission -or readmission- of thirteen Member Sections and five Temporary Members.

From the 27 delegations present at the founding assembly in Lausanne in 1948, the UIA has grown to encompass the key professional organisations of architects in 123 countries and territories, and now represents, through these organisations, more than 1,300,000 architects worldwide.
