International Velux Award 2006
Light of Tomorrow
In 2004 the VELUX Company created a biennial international award open to students of architecture and now VELUX launches the second edition of this award. It is open to students of architecture world-wide and is organised in collaboration with the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) and the International Union of Architects (UIA).
Through this Award, on the theme "Light of tomorrow", VELUX wants to stimulate reflection and discussion and a rethinking of the role of daylight in contemporary architectural design. The aim is to promote innovation and highlight quality architectural solutions and ideas capable of improving the quality of daily life and demonstrate the social, sociological and environmental dimensions of light.
