CIVIC AXIS

The city of Takapuna, New Zealand, underwent a chaotic development, with no public spaces but with a network of roads that creates a succession of impassable barriers. This project would draw a transversal “civic axis” linking the city centre to the seashore. Along this axis, public buildings and facilities would participate in a long-term urban development of the city and its surrounding area.
