The UIA is endorsing the third cycle of the triennial Abdullatif Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture.
The Prize was established in 2011 to recognize architectural innovation in mosque architecture. It considers urban issues influencing mosque design, going beyond form and addressing the socio-cultural impact of the mosque and its role in shaping social practices. For this edition, the international jury will meet in Paris from 21 to 23 January 2019.
On this occasion, the Award organisers have planned a series of talks, open to the public, on the subject of mosque architecture at the Arab World Institute in Paris (see full programme below). The talks will be followed by a reception.
