This September, the Japan Institute of Architects hosts ARCASIA ACA18 in collaboration with fellow architects from the 21 regions of ARCASIA.
The event runs from 10-14 September, featuring themes such as the environment and the architect’s role in disaster management.
The event will include keynote speeches from Kai-Uwe Bergmann, architect and Partner at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG); Fumihiko Maki, Japanese contemporary architect and laureat of the Pritzker Prize; and Yasmeen Lari, Pakistan’s first female architect, known primarily for partnering architecture and social justice.
With an estimate of 1,000 participants, this event promises to be a prime opportunity to foster international alliances between Asian architectural organisations.
