Costa Rica Architecture Biennale

 

The College of Architects of Costa Rica is organizing their 15th International Professional Biennale of Architecture and the 9th International Student Biennale of Architecture. The event will take place the 28 – 30 May 2020.

 

The International Architecture Biennale is organized by CACR every two years.  It aims to raise public awareness about the importance of architecture for the development of nations, by means of an informative, educational and technical activity that highlights the role of architecture in sustainable development.

 

Both the Professional Biennale and the Student Biennale will have as a central theme "Architecture-Water-Life", reflecting the sector's commitment to respond to the needs of citizens through sustainable, efficient and environmentally friendly urban solutions.

 

The CACR is currently accepting projects. The registration deadline for projects is February 15 2020 and project delivery deadline is February 28 2020.

General Secretariat

The UIA General Secretariat, placed under the responsibility of the Secretary General, is the Union's executive body and the administrative centre for the coordination of relations between the UIA Member Sections and their activities.

The General Secretariat assists architects and architecture students in getting into contact with professional colleagues throughout the world, from professional organisations and architectural schools to museums and media.

The General Secretariat helps architects to keep up to date with UIA activities, its partners and Member Sections.
