Born in 1956, Denis Dessus is a government-certified architect and holder of a Master’s in geography and urban planning. He was president of the Ardèche Architects' Union from 1989 to 1998, President of the Regional Council of the Order of Architects in the Rhône-Alpes from 2000 to 2004, Chairman of the Public Markets Committee of the CNOA from 2004 to 2010, legal delegate of Unsfa (Union 2011 to 2013 and Vice-President of CNOA from 2006 to 2010. He became president of the National Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA) in November 2017.
An architectural professional at the head of an agency in Ardèche and a professor in China, Denis Dessus is the winner of over a hundred competitions and has carried out more than one hundred and fifty operations to date in all fields of public and private construction. He is the urban planner and landscaper of all his public and private operations and also operates in China in all sectors of sustainable architecture and urban planning, with innovative professional methodology and practice.
He has also made numerous interventions in the areas of heritage and renovation.
Denis Dessus will be presenting the conclusions of the ACE-UIA International Conference on Design Competitions, 25 October 2019, UNESCO headquarters, Paris.
