From November 19-21, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow will host the XXVI International Festival of Architecture "Zodchestvo 2018". The theme of the festival, “recontext”, reflects the evolution of Russia’s approach to developing quality urban environments.
The festival will incorporate a variety of events, including plenary sessions, round tables, lectures and presentations, all within a framework of creating dialogue on current issues, prospects and developments within the architecture and urban planning sector. These sessions will be conducted by leading Russian and foreign architects, town planners, representatives of federal and regional authorities, real estate development companies and manufacturers.
Alongside the above events, Zodchestvo 18 will also be exhibiting nominations for competitions with themes such as “Regions of Russia,” “Pieces of Architecture 2016-2018,” “Creative architectural workshops and groups,” “Creativity of young architects,” and more.
The final day will conclude with the prize giving ceremony for the Crystal Daedalus Award for best building built in Russia in the last two years; the Vladimir Tatlin Award for best project; and The Echo of Leonidov Award for young talent in architecture.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation; the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation; and the Governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region.
