UIA and FPAA sign MoU

The UIA and the Federation of Pan American Associations of Architects (FPAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Washington D.C. on 31 October 2018. The two organisations agreed to work together for their mutual benefit. This collaboration includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Combine resources to pursue aims of mutual interest and joint activities
  • Explore opportunities for joint policy positions and actions 
  • Assure reciprocal representation in their respective working groups
  • Coordinate the organisation and realisation of the UIA 2020 Congress and FPAA 2020

General Secretariat

The UIA General Secretariat, placed under the responsibility of the Secretary General, is the Union's executive body and the administrative centre for the coordination of relations between the UIA Member Sections and their activities.

The General Secretariat assists architects and architecture students in getting into contact with professional colleagues throughout the world, from professional organisations and architectural schools to museums and media.

The General Secretariat helps architects to keep up to date with UIA activities, its partners and Member Sections.
