Is there a programme available for the hybrid Congress?
The 27th World Congress of Architects – UIA2021RIO will be a hybrid event, with virtual sessions from March onwards. In-person activities run from July 18 to 22 in Rio de Janeiro, broadcast live over the Internet to delegates around the world.

The first UIA2021RIO World Week of Architects offers digital content from March 22 to 25. Content will be public throughout the week, with subsequent access open to only Congress registrants. The theme chosen to open the UIA2021RIO in March is an issue of much concern that severely affects the world today: Social Weaknesses and Inequalities. When will registration be open for international delegates travelling to Brazil?
According to the Congress organisers, participants who have already paid their registration fee will be able to participate in the Congress in Rio. New sales are not possible at the moment due to the uncertainty about the sanitary conditions.
Will there still be a physical exhibition for national pavilions?
The Exhibition will take place at the Congress site and that there is still space remaining for national delegations.
How will Member Sections’ presentations be delivered for those that cannot travel to Rio?
Arrangements are underway to facilitate local printing for exhibitors that will not be able to travel to Rio.
Will there be an alternative digital platform for the exhibition for national pavilions?
There are currently no plans for an online exhibition.
