Daylight Talk by Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitekter

07/11/2025

Partners Malene Hjortsø Kyndesen and Trine Hedeager Harboe from Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitekter present Daylight Talk #24, Sense of Site, Perception of Light. The talk is organised in collaboration with the Villum Window Collection as part of the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial and continues the 2025 Daylight Talk series.

Hjortsø Kyndesen and Hedeager Harboe explore architecture as an act of sensing—where place, history, and energy inform how light is perceived and experienced. Through four projects, they show how their practice connects light, space, material, and atmosphere:

  • Tuborg Strandeng: daylight opens office spaces to sea and landscape
  • Natural History Museum: light is precisely guided to accent specific moments
  • New Viking Ship Museum: daylight is carefully filtered to protect ancient vessels
  • Kannikegården Parish Hall, Ribe: daylight enters in dialogue with historic ruins
