The Architects Association of Botswana (AAB) will host World Architecture Day 2025 on Monday, 6 October at the Thapong Visual Arts Centre in Gaborone. Under the global theme “Design for Strength”, the event will bring together Botswana’s architectural community, creative industries, policymakers, and the public to reflect on the role of architecture in building resilient, sustainable, and inclusive communities.

Recognised worldwide as a moment to spotlight the social value of architecture, this celebration in Botswana will highlight the nation’s rich architectural heritage, showcase professional achievements, and foster critical conversations about the future of the built environment. The programme is designed to inspire innovation and collaboration in line with Botswana’s Vision 2036 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
