Lima will host the UIA Work Programme Architecture & Children meeting and seminar, once again becoming an international stage for dialogue on architecture and childhood. This gathering is especially relevant since it has been more than a decade since South America hosted such a significant in-person event within the programme.
Monday, 20 October – International Seminar 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Block 1: Peruvian Network for Architecture and Childhood (1:00 – 3:20 pm)
- Presentation of local experiences: School and community participation (CITE ciudad resiliente), Innovative pedagogies (Colegio Aleph), Pedagogies of sound and earth: Learning from the Lurín River Basin (Radio APU); TiNi: Land of Children, and Youth (ANIA); Kawsay: Environmental education – Living Territories (Cusco – Erika Ísmodes).
- Closing Roundtable: “Weaving Active Citizenship from Childhood”. Reflections on challenges and opportunities for the Peruvian Network for Architecture and Childhood in built environment education and participation.
Block 2: UIA Work Programme Architecture & Children (4:20 – 8:00 pm)
- Keynote presentations from international members: Carolina Pizarro (co-director, Costa Rica), Mina Sava (co-director, Romania), Piera Medina (founder of Escala Común, Chile), and Andrea Loyola (co-founder of Anidare and WP correspondent, Peru).
- Presentation of the 2025–2026 international agenda and the UIA Golden Cubes Awards 2026.
- International Closing Panel: “Shared Challenges for Architecture, Childhood, and Youth as Agents of Global Transformation”, led in collaboration with the CAP National Dean.
Closing and toast (8:00 pm).
