As part of the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 in Barcelona, the UIA International Workshop invites students and young architects to participate in a week-long immersive program led by 12 pioneering emerging practices.
Taking place in the week preceding the Congress, the workshop will bring together global talent to engage in hands-on studio work and collaborative research addressing key architectural and urban challenges in Barcelona. Participants will explore 12 distinct research projects that investigate diverse aspects of architecture and urbanism through direct collaboration, site visits, and open discussions with workshop leaders. This unique experience fosters creativity, dialogue, and collaboration while providing exposure to innovative approaches in sustainability, heritage, and urban development.
The UIA World Congress of Architects, held every three years, is one of the world’s most significant gatherings for professional and cultural exchange, uniting thousands of architects and thinkers from around the globe to shape the future of the built environment.
