Is My City Safe?
The UIA Community Architecture & Human Rights Work Programme invites you to join an international webinar exploring one of today’s most urgent urban questions: Is my city safe?
As cities grow rapidly and inequalities deepen, safety must be understood not only in terms of crime statistics, but as a lived, everyday experience — particularly for women, children, older adults, and marginalized communities. Urban safety is closely connected to how public spaces are designed, governed, and shared.
Bringing together international perspectives, this webinar will examine how community-led placemaking, inclusive design, and human rights–based approaches can foster safer, more sustainable cities.
