Open Call for Applications: 2027 Global Award for Sustainable Architecture

06/10/2025

The International Union of Architects (UIA) is pleased to announce the launch of the 20th edition of the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture, under the theme “Architecture Is Equity”, on World Architecture Day, 6 October 2025.

This theme explores the role of architecture as a catalyst for democratic engagement, social cohesion, and equity.

The Award invites architects, designers, urban and landscape professionals worldwide to submit entries for built or studied projects, or for work related to research, writing, and experimentation that demonstrates innovation, design quality, and a significant contribution to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Created in 2006 by architect and researcher Jana Revedin, the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture has honoured professionals who distinguish themselves through their commitment to sustainability. Since 2024, it has been endorsed by the UIA.
