Born in 1944 in Lleida, Spain, Jaime Duró Pifarré graduated from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (1972) and founded his own practice, Duró Arquitectura e Ingeniería, based in Barcelona and Madrid.
