The International Union of Architects (UIA), in partnership with UN-Habitat, has announced the results of Stage 1 of the UIA 2030 Award – Third Cycle, revealing the list of projects selected as Regional Finalists.
This cycle attracted a strong and diverse range of high-quality submissions from across the five UIA Regions, all addressing the challenges of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda. Following a rigorous evaluation process, the selected projects demonstrate outstanding contributions to sustainable development across six award categories, including water and sanitation, housing, inclusive planning, public space, labour rights, and climate resilience.
The Regional Finalists will now advance to Stage 2 of the Award. Shortlisted teams will be invited to submit a three-minute video presentation highlighting their project in use, its context, and its response to the relevant SDGs.
Stage 2 submission deadline: Friday, 6 March 2026, 12:00 noon (UTC)
Award winners will be officially announced during a ceremony held in conjunction with the UN-Habitat World Urban Forum.
