On December 9–10, the Engineers and Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE) hosted its 2nd International Conference, “Redefining the Future Horizons: Designing Tomorrow’s Sustainable Strategies”, in Athens. Held under the auspices of the Bank of Greece and the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), the conference brought together government representatives, European institutions, local authorities, financial stakeholders, and internationally renowned experts to address the pressing challenges of climate change, infrastructure resilience, and sustainable development.
The scientific dimension of the conference was reinforced by the participation of leading international figures, including UIA President Regina Gonthier. In her intervention, she emphasized the vital role of architecture and urban planning in responding to the climate crisis and accelerating the transition toward more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable built environments.
The conference served as an important platform for dialogue between the State, the scientific and technical communities, the financial sector, and the market, reinforcing the shared commitment to sustainable development. The participation of the UIA President reaffirmed the international dimension of the event and the central role of architecture in redefining future horizons for climate-resilient and people-centered development.
