THE DAYLIGHT AWARD 2026

For the ﬁrst time, the award is presented by the Daylight Academy (DLA), an international membership organisation committed to promoting daylight knowledge and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among daylight experts worldwide.

UIA 2030 AWARD: THIRD CYCLE

The International Union of Architects (UIA), in partnership withUN-Habitat, have launched the third cycle of the UIA 2030 Award, a biennial international prize that promotes the role of architecture in advancing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a particular focus on SDG11 and the New Urban Agenda.

UIA Architecture and Children Work Programme Launches 6th Cycle of the Golden Cubes Awards

The UIA Architecture and Children Work Programme has launched the sixth cycle of the Golden Cubes Awards, set for 2026.

The Golden Cubes Award Ceremony will be held during the UIA World Congress of Architects in Barcelona, from 28 June to 2 July 2026.

2026 UIA Gold Medal and Triennial Prizes

UIA Member Sections are invited to submit nominations for the UIA Gold Medal and the six UIA Prizes. The winners will be announced during the UIA World Congress of Architects in Barcelona, Spain, in 2026.

THE 7TH EDITION OF THE BAKU INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AWARD

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan (UAA) have launched the Seventh Edition of the Baku International Architecture Award.

UIA 2030 AWARD: SECOND CYCLE

The UIA, in partnership with UN-Habitat, launched the second cycle of the UIA 2030 Award in January 2024 to promote the work of architects contributing to the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the New Urban Agenda.

THE DAYLIGHT AWARD 2024

The 2024 Edition of the Daylight Award launched on Tuesday 16 May, on the UNESCO International Day of Light. Established in 1980 by the philanthropic foundations VILLUM FONDEN, VELUX FONDEN and VELUX STIFTUNG, and endorsed by the UIA since 2020, it is conferred biennially in two categories: The Daylight Award for Research and The Daylight Award for Architecture.
